A host of European clubs are competing for the signature of Roma’s tough-tackling midfielder Radja Nainggolan, but have been deterred by an apparent high asking price.

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of Serie A’s most dynamic players since moving to the Giallorossi from Cagliari in January 2014.

According to the Daily Express, a number of English Premier League outfits including Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal as well as German side Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in the Belgian international.

However, Roma’s asking fee of €34 million is proving to be a major stumbling block for potential suitors, as he is still co-owned by former side Cagliari, who are demanding half of any future sale.

Nainggolan has accumulated 17 league appearances this season, scoring three goals in the process.
