Fiorentina are reportedly set to launch a late move for Monaco and France midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The Viola are due a huge financial windfall if, as expected, winger Juan Cuadrado makes his move to English Premier League side Chelsea before the deadline.

According to Firenzeviola.it, coach Vincenzo Montella is ready to reinvest the transfer money instantly, with 21-year-old Kondogbia being made a high priority.

They may yet face competition from Inter, however, as the Nerazzurri have also been linked with the defensive midfielder during this current transfer window.

The latest reports place the Cuadrado fee at €31 million, and with Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah apparently heading to Italy on loan as part of the deal, Fiorentina would be free to spend the money on other pressing concerns within the squad.

Kondogbia made his France debut in August of 2013, and is yet to add to his one appearance for the national side.
