Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini has stated that his side have to be at their best against Fiorentina on Saturday.

La Viola are set to lose star midfielder Juan Cuadrado to English side Chelsea, but the former Inter coach has stated that Fiorentina remain a good side even without the Colombian.

“Fiorentina are a really good side, regardless of who sets the field,” he said.

“They have a really strong midfield, we have to be at out best.”

The Genoa fans are set to enter the Stadio Luigi Ferraris 10 minutes late as a protest against the refereeing decisions in the loss to Napoli, and Gasperini said that the protests are going to send out a message.

“The silent protests will make a lot of noise,” he said. “The opinion of our supporters is important, we play for them.”

“We have a side ready to compete in the second half of the season.”

Genoa are currently in seventh place in the table with 28 points.
