Genoa supporter’s organisations have called for a boycott of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris stands for the opening 10 minutes of Saturday’s home clash with Fiorentina, in protest at refereeing errors made during Monday’s fixture against Napoli.

The Rossoblù lost that game 2-1 and their fans have become incensed by a perception that match officials have been consistently and unfairly penalising their team this season.

“We invite you to desert the stands of the stadium during the first 10 minutes of the game with Fiorentina,” read a statement addressed to fellow Grifone supporters.

“We are no longer willing to stand by and allow these wrongs. Genoa deserves respect.”

Genoa currently sit seventh in the Serie A standings but they could draw level on points with sixth placed Fiorentina if they claim victory during the weekend’s match.
