As Parma continue to spend in January looking to avoid the drop, they have set their sights on Pablo Osvaldo of Inter to get the goals to keep them in Serie A.

With the Ducali on the verge of confirming the signing of Uruguayan midfielder Cristian Rodriguez from Atletico Madrid and Portuguese winger Varela who is undergoing a medical on Tuesday, they are turning their attentions to a striker.

The Gazzetta di Parma reports that they are now opening negotiations with the Nerazzurri to take their Southampton loanee Osvaldo until the end of the season.

It is understood that Inter will settle only for €1.5 million to allow the former Juventus and Roma forward to depart for the Tardini on a short term deal.

Osvaldo, 29, has quite an impressive record at the Giuseppe Meazza this season, having assisted twice and scored five goals in only five league starts.
