Inter are set to meet with Xherdan Shaqiri and his representatives on Thursday in an attempt to convince the Swiss international in person to move to the Nerazzurri.

It is thought the Nerazzurri have come to an agreement with the player ahead of a six-month loan move, but have yet to agree a deal with Bayern.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Shaqiri is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time at the German champions and he is looking for a January transfer.

Having secured the services of Lukas Podolski, Inter coach Roberto Mancini believes the 23-year-old would be an ideal addition to his squad as he intends to move towards a formation which employs more traditional wide players.

Any transfer will not be straight forward however, and Inter face tough competition from Liverpool for Shaqiri’s signature.
