Jorginho - Napoli

Napoli midfielder Jorginho will not be sold in the January transfer window, according to his agent Joao Santos.

The 23-year-old has mostly featured off the bench this season, but is reportedly disappointed at his lack of starts for the Partenopei, having made only six starts in Serie A.

“Jorginho’s lack of playing time? It happens,”  he told Radio Crc. “The most important thing is to look forward to the next game.

“I told him to relax and work hard, Brazilians are usually disappointed when they’re on the bench.

“Jorginho has played 18 games in all competitions this season, he is an important player to the side.

“I don’t think Jorginho will leave in January, because Napoli will have to buy someone else to replace him.”

Santos then went on to say that the club’s belief in young players means that there is no need to worry about what the future holds for his client.

“Napoli believe in Jorginho, as well as other youngsters such as [Lorenzo] Insigne, Rafael, and [Manolo] Gabbiadini.”

Jorginho made the move to Naples from Hellas Verona in January 2014.
