Juventus are ready to welcome Paolo De Ceglie back from his loan spell at Parma as a replacement for the injured Kwadwo Asamoah.

The Bianconeri are short of defensive options on the left flank after Asamoah suffered a knee injury back in November and keyhole surgery means the 26-year-old is unlikely to return for another few months.

With only Patrice Evra and Simone Padoin able to fill the void left by the Ghanaian international, tuttomercato suggest the Old Lady will recall De Ceglie from his season-long loan at Parma.

The 28-year-old would add extra cover on the left flank and free to be added to Juventus’ Champions League squad, with their round of 16 first leg tie with Borussia Dortmund at the end of February.

AC Milan had been interested in De Ceglie, hoping to use Juve’s interest in Giampaolo Pazzini to do a deal, but it appears the full back will return to Turin for the remainder of the season.

De Ceglie has made 11 starts for relegation threatened Parma this campaign and could face his parent club on Wednesday night as the Gialloblu face Juventus in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia.
