Kalidou Koulibaly NapoliNapoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is satisfied with his side’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Genoa on Tuesday evening.

A Gonzalo Higuain double was enough for the home side to take all three points, and lift them back into third place on the Serie A table.

“The victory at the San Paolo was missing a lot, but we are just happy to have won in front of our fans,” Koulibaly told Mediaset Premium after the match.

“Targeting second place? Now we are just thinking about third place, we always want to win and we’ll see where we are in ten matches from now.

“Was it difficult to settle in Italy? It was not easy as Belgium football is not as fast. The coach and my teammates have helped me, but I have to keep working.

“The future of Benitez? I hope he remains, but it is normal. He has confidence in me and I think the whole team and all the fans are hoping he stays.”
