Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window, manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted.
The Italian moved from AC Milan to Anfield this summer for around €20 million, but hasn’t been successful as he has scored only twice for the Reds, and neither of the goals were in the Premier League.
Despite this, Liverpool manager Rodgers told the press, “Mario is a good guy, but has not scored the goals he would have wanted to.
“But one thing is certain, he’s not going anywhere in January.”
The 24-year-old is yet to settle at Liverpool, and has been dropped from the Italian national side as a result of his poor performances under Rodgers.
