Adem Ljajic praised Roma’s change in attitude in the second half after the Serbian helped secure a 1–1 draw away to Fiorentina, on Sunday evening in Serie A.

Ljajic leveled the score after Mario Gomez’s opening goal, and sounded the revolt as Roma wrestled the initiative back from Fiorentina, which had dominated the first half.

Ljajic spoke to Sky Sport Italia in the post-match, discussing the Giallorossi’s fight-back to rescue a point.

“We know Fiorentina were a good team, with strong players who also do well in possession,” Ljajic said.

“In the first half they were better but in the second half we took to the field with a different attitude.

“We played more like ourselves but unfortunately the goal I scored was not enough to get the win. We have to move on.”

Ljajic, who was a former Fiorentina player, also spoke about his goal as he was seen to shun away from celebrating too overtly.

“I could not celebrate because there are so many people I know here,” Ljajic said.

“I still have a house here and so many more emotions tied to Florence, so I could not celebrate.”

Although Ljajic contributed in Roma’s comeback to gain a point, they now stand seven points off of Juventus and with their Scudetto challenge fast fading away.
