Inter head coach Roberto Mancini has admitted that the door is open for Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, and that he is hopeful of signing the dominating midfielder.

Mancini previously managed the 31-year-old Ivory Coast international during his spell in charge at the Etihad and it was he who decided to play the Ivorian in a more advanced role and Mancini would love to work with him once again at Inter.

“I hope I can sign [Yaya Toure] him because I know him well and I think he is a fantastic player,” he recounted to Sky Sport Italia.

“If he wants to make a change in the future and try to play in Italy, the doors at Inter are open for him.

“But I cannot say anything more than that because at the moment he remains a City player.”
