Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has said that he is expecting a tough game against Torino.

The Granata are set to host Samp on Sunday afternoon, and the former Lazio man took the time to praise his opponents.

“I’m expecting a tough game against a Torino side undefeated in their past seven games,” he said. “We have to play like we have been playing all season.

“Out of the three new signings, Muriel is injured whilst [Andrea] Coda and [Samuel] Eto’o are still not ready to take the field.

“When all of them are ready then we’ll figure out system which suits them, but now both Luis [Muriel] and Samuel [Eto’o] aren’t.”

Mihajlovic then went on to praise Eto’o’s attitude in training.

“Eto’o surprised me with the humility he displayed; during training he would give advice to his teammates,” he said.

Finally, the Serb praised defender Daniele Gastaldello who confirmed that he will leave the Blucerchiati for Bologna, thus putting an end to his eight year stay at Samp.

“I want to thank him for what he has done with Sampdoria,” he said.

“He wanted a new challenge, and I am happy that he is moving somewhere he can prove his worth.

“Will he play tomorrow? He can, it just depends on how the game goes.”

Sampdoria are currently fifth in the Serie A table with 34 points.
