Following a closely contested draw against Palermo, Sampdoria head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic feels his side lost confidence in the second half at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The Blucerchiati opened the scoring in the sixth minute through Eder, but conceded early in the restart and could have conceded another goal when Michel Morganella’s strike was disallowed despite entering the net for a split second.

“The goal? You have to be honest, it is obvious,” said Mihajlovic to Sky Sport Italia.

“I’m used to not talking about referees, but among the things to do should be adopting goal-line technology.”

Mihajlovic followed with his thoughts on the game that was dominated by both sides in each half.

“I saw a great start in Samp. We dominated, but in the second half we did very badly,”he said.

“Our match was two-sided, we conceded a goal and then we lost confidence. There was the risk of losing, but as we played in the first half we deserved something more; in the second half I did not like the attitude of my team.”

The Serbian made further comments on the arrival of Samuel Eto’o from Everton.

“He has always trained and played just a few days ago, he is ready [for the next match].”
