Torino defender Emiliano Moretti believes his team deserved their victory over Inter on Sunday due to the amount of hard work they put into their performance.
The Granata were able to secure a 1-0 victory against the Nerazzurri at the San Siro thanks to a late header from the 33-year-old in stoppage time and he believes that the Turin side can continue to improve as long as they work together and play with confidence.
Moretti spoke to Sky Sport Italia following the triumphant result over Inter about Torino’s performance and praised the visitors for their determination to earn the three points, while also commenting on who he dedicates his goal to.
“We had hoped we could pull through and win all the way until the end,” said the Italian international. “But we were able to get the proper result because of the work of the whole team.
“We have fought together, it was only right that we earned the three points. When we work with confidence and serenity, we can achieve any result. Now we look to the next match.
“My goal dedication? I dedicate the goal to all of us at Torino and my family.”
