strinicNapoli have addressed their lack of depth at the left-back position by signing Ivan Strinic at the onset of the 2015 January transfer window.

The Partenopei needed to add defensive reinforcements during the January transfer window because of the continuing injuries to Juan Camilo Zuniga and the absence of Faouzi Ghoulam, who will be on international duty with Algeria during the 2015 African Cup of Nations.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal was made possible because Napoli was able to sign him as a free agent after his contract with his former club, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, expired at the end of 2014.

Juventus and Inter were reportedly also interested in the 27-year-old Croatian International.

Strinic has already linked up with his new team-mates in training.
