Henrique - NapoliNapoli defender Henrique is reportedly close to making a move to Villarreal in the final days of the January transfer window and the Azzurri may have already lined up a replacement for him.

The 28-year-old, whose current contract with the Partenopei is set to expire in June 2017, is apparently unsatisfied with his lack of space in Rafa Benitez’s squad and would be open to making a switch to the Spanish side, with a deal between the two clubs already thought to be in the works.

According to Tuttosport, Henrique’s representatives have been in contact with both Napoli and Villarreal to begin negotiations and it seems like El Submarino Amarillo could end up signing the Brazilian international on loan for the rest of the season with an option to make the move permanent for €3 million in the summer.

If the former Palmeiras man were to make his exit from the Neapolitan side, reports suggest that the San Paolo outfit would be ready to make an offer for Ajax defender Niklas Moisander, who shares an agent with Dries Mertens.

Henrique has made seven Serie A appearances this season thus far.
