Paletta - ParmaNapoli have reportedly set their sights on signing Parma defender Gabriel Paletta in the final days of the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old, whose current contract with the Crociati is set to expire in June 2017, has been linked with a possible move away from the struggling Ducali this winter due to the side’s poor form this season and it seems like he may be able to find a new home with the Partenopei.

According to Il Mattino, Napoli have been in contact with Parma in recent days to begin negotiations for the Italian international and would be quick to make an offer for his services if Azzurri defender Henrique were to make his exit from the Neapolitan club before the transfer window comes to a close.

Reports suggest that Henrique could favour a return back to his home country of Brazil or possibly complete a move to Villarreal, which would leave Rafa Benitez in need of a centre-back to fill his shoes.

Paletta has made seven Serie A appearances for Parma this season thus far.
