The continued frustration amongst the Parma ultras continued this weekend, following their 2-1 defeat at home to Cesena.

The patience of the supporters appears to have run out, and this is not the first time the fans have confronted the players, as they demanded an explanation for the club’s poor form already this season.

One of the players who received the most criticism was Antonio Cassano, who responded  by saying “I am doing all I can do,” according to Corriere dello Sport.

Cassano has been the centre of attention this week, with reports suggesting that he may leave the club this month after issuing the club with legal notice regarding the back payment of unpaid wages.

Club captain Alessandro Lucarelli was one of the prominent players involved in the post-match discussions.

The fans let their feelings be known under no uncertain circumstances, by chanting “Run more or stay at home” at players, as well as insisting “We must go with honour” in reference to their seemingly imminent relegation to Serie B.

Parma engaged in an act of press silence after the game, with rumours regarding the insecurity of the future of coach Roberto Donadoni growing by the week.
