Lazio coach Stefano Pioli spoke emphatically after his side’s progression to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Wednesday, praising the spirit of his team.
The Biancocelesti triumphed over Torino in a 3-1 away victory to reach the next stage, aided by the goals of Balde Keita Diao, Miroslav Klose, and Christian Ledesma.
“We are having a good time in a January that we knew would be important, with direct clashes in the league and the Coppa Italia”, the tactician commented to Rai Sport.
“All of the players and staff gave a great contribution, and there is only healthy competition within the team.
“We now head to Naples, and it’ll be a tough match. We’ll take it one game at a time”, Pioli concluded in regards to the club’s ambitions in the competition.
