Former Fiorentina and Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has admitted that he is still a supporter of the Viola due to his relationship with the club.

Prandelli was very successful during his five year stint as coach of the Florence based club winning 116 matches, a Coach of the Year award, and achieving the longest tenure in the club’s history before his departure for the Azzurri in 2010.

“Fiorentina? When they play my heart always beats,” he stated as reported by Radio Blu.

“I did not expect to live in Florence for life. I decided to do so due to a fundamental aspect.”

Prandelli was attending the presentation of a book called “Viaggio nello Viola” by Massimo Sandrelli.

The 57-year-old is currently without a club after being sacked by Istanbul based club Galatasaray.
