Roma are closing in on the signing of CSKA Moscow hit-man Seydou Doumbia, after reaching an agreement over the fee with the Russian club.
The 27-year-old Ivorian international has been a prolific scorer for CSKA since making the move from Young Boys in 2010, and has been continually linked with a move to Europe’s elite.
The Daily Mail report that the two clubs have agreed a fee, and now Doumbia must only agree personal terms and complete his medical examinations for the deal to be finalized.
Doumbia comes as a like-for-like replacement for Mattia Destro, who is on the verge of completing a move to AC Milan.
The striker has netted 10 goals in 19 appearances for CSKA across all competitions this season.
