Yevhen Konoplyanka is close to moving to Italian side Roma.
The Ukrainian international has attracted attention from numerous clubs across Europe, but it appears that the Giallorossi are in pole position for his signature.
Vocegiallorossa.it report that his coach at Dnipro, Myron Markevych, has said: “As far as I know, Roma have agreed a deal with the club for Konoplyanka.
“He is our best player and his departure would make it difficult for us.
“I think it would be better if he went to La Liga.
“The standard of football is better in Spain than it is in Italy. Serie A is no longer the force in European football that it was ten years ago.”
Roma are also close to signing another winger, as Mohamed Salah is on the verge of joining from Chelsea.
