Roma have completed the signing of CSKA Moscow and Ivory Coast international striker Seydou Doumbia.

The 27-year-old joins as a replacement for the outgoing Mattia Destro, who completed a loan move to AC Milan earlier in the week.

The move was made official on Roma’s website, with the press release stating that the player has been signed for €14.4 million along with a possible €1.5m being added on in terms of bonuses.

The striker, who is currently on duty with Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, has signed a contract that will see him tied to the Giallorossi until June 30, 2019.

Doumbia scored 83 goals in 129 appearances for the Russian side after joining from Swiss club Young Boys in 2010.
