Hellas Verona midfielder Jacopo Sala has stated that Hellas Verona responded to the criticism with a win over Atalanta at home.
The Mastini fought hard to beat La Dea 1-0, thanks to a single goal from Javier Saviola, which was also his first in Serie A.
“We wanted to win in front of our home fans and we did it with perfection”, Sala told Sky Sport Italia,
“Atalanta played well, but we had a great game.
“I am happy for Javier for his goal, he has always trained the hardest in our group. He is a champion.
“We faced lot of criticism last week [as Juventus thrashed Verona twice – 6-1 and 4-0], but we responded with a brilliant win today.”
