Sampdoria are reportedly considering a move for Parma defender Gabriel Paletta in the final days of the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old has been a big help for the Crociati despite their shockingly poor form this term and has been linked with a possible transfer to a number of clubs this winter including Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur, though the Blucerchiati may now be preparing an offer for his services as well.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sampdoria aim to begin serious negotiations for the Italian international in the coming days and would be ready to send Daniele Gastaldello to Bologna in order to free up space for the Parma man.

Paletta, whose current contract with the Ducali is set to expire in June 2017, joined the Gialloblu from Boca Juniors in 2010 and has scored five goals in his total of 123 Serie A appearances since his arrival, making seven league appearances this term thus far.
