Okaka - SampdoriaAndrea Cattoli, agent of Sampdoria’s forward Stefano Okaka, shattered any doubts that his client will be a Blucerchiati player at the end of the January transfer window.

Amidst Sampdoria’s recent purchase of forward Luis Muriel from Udinese and reported talks between the Blucerchiati and Everton regarding Samuel Eto’o, speculation about Okaka’s future arose.

“Stefano’s only concerns are to play well and to help the team,” Cattoli told Sampdorianews.it.

“The fact that Sampdoria are bringing in reinforcements will be good for everyone.

“Stefano is happy at Samp, and outside voices and rumours have generated unncecessary controversy.”

In addition, the agent said that Okaka’s future will be discussed when his contract expires at the end of the season.

“We agreed with the club that in June we will all discuss Stefano’s future, while he is still tied with Sampdoria,” Cattoli said.

“There is no friction between Stefano and the club, which he has great respect and gratitude towards.

“I do not exclude the possibility that he will extend his contract with Sampdoria because he has a strong bond with the fans, who have always supported him.”

Okaka, a Roma youth product, has made 18 Serie A appearances for the Blucerchiati so far this season and has three goals to his name.
