Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has reportedly missed out on the Old Lady’s training session on Thursday after picking up a knee injury in his team’s recent Coppa Italia victory over Parma.

The 27-year-old was subbed off midway through the second half of Juve’s away match against the Crociati on Wednesday and it seems he’s now been put on rest after suffering a sprain to his right knee, which will likely see him miss out on his side’s next Serie A match against Udinese on Sunday.

The Bianconeri released an official statement on Juventus.com on Thursday discussing Vidal’s condition and revealed that the Chilean international underwent tests which have confirmed only a minor injury to his knee, though the extent of his absence remains unknown.

“Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal missed out on today’s session after suffering a sprained right knee during yesterday’s clash at the Tardini,” read the statement.

“The MRI scan he underwent this morning ruled out any serious damage.”
