Silvano Martina, agent of Inter defender Nemanja Vidic, has revealed that his client plans to honour his contract with the Biscione despite rumours claiming otherwise.

The 33-year-old, whose current deal with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in June 2017, has been linked with a possible move away from the San Siro outfit this winter due to his rough start to life in the Serie A this season, though his agent insists that the ex-Manchester United captain is happy with the way things are going in Italy.

Martina spoke to FcInter1908.it about his client’s situation at Inter and denied all reports suggesting that Vidic could make an early exit from the Milan side.

“Why should he leave? He’s playing,” said the agent. “He’s pleased with his work and intends to comply with his contract because he has only been at Inter for six months.”

The Serbian has scored one goal in his 12 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
