The fiancee of AC Milan attacker Alessio Cerci has hit out at coach Filippo Inzaghi over her man’s lack of playing time for the Rossoneri.

Cerci, who arrived in January from Atletico Madrid, came on as an 86th minute substitute in his side’s 2-0 win over Cesena on Sunday and has played 90 minutes just three times since joining, appearing from the bench in each of their last two matches.

Federica Riccardi, his longtime girlfriend, vented her frustration with his treatment on Rai Due’s Quelli che il Calcio show, saying: “Alessio is well and has no problems so it makes no sense to play him only at the end! The important thing, however, is that Milan won.”

The future Mrs Cerci does have previous for airing her opinions on football-related matters, hitting out at Serie A last summer when the Italian international departed Torino for the Spanish capital.

On that occasion, she launched a Facebook attack in which she stated: “The best footballers, if they want to do something important, must run away and leave the league.

“Goodbye Serie A! We are leaving for football matters.”
