Barcelona will reportedly send a club representative to monitor Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic’s performance against Inter at the San Siro on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, whose current contract with the Viola is set to expire in June 2019, has been heavily linked with a move Barca in recent months and it seems like the Spanish giants are looking to make sure they’re pursuing the right player before making any serious offers.

According to FirenzeViola.it, this will be the fourth time in the past month that Barcelona will be sending someone to evaluate the Montenegrin international, though Savic’s lengthy deal with Fiorentina may see him remain at the Serie A side for quite some time to come.

Reports also suggest that the former Manchester City man is being chased by Manchester United as well, though Barca are still seen as the favourites to land him.

The centre back has scored two goals and provided one assist in his 19 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
