Lazio defender Dusan Basta has stated that his side are ready for Sunday afternoon’s Serie A game away to Sassuolo but must approach the game with the right attitude due to the quality the Neroverdi possess.
The Serbian has impressed at Stadio Olimpico since joining in the summer from Udinese and is confident the Biancocelesti are capable of beating Sunday’s hosts as they look to close the gap on third-placed Napoli.
“Sassuolo are an excellent team, they are worthy of a higher league position than where they are now,” said the 30-year-old, speaking to Lazio Style Radio 89.3.
“It will not be easy, we are playing away from home and we will have to play a perfect match.
“We have to have the right attitude, the important thing is that we recovered after two defeats so we must continue on this path.
“The team is capable of winning but this is not a guarantee to get a result, only with the right mindset can we do something great.”
