Giacomo Bonaventura’s agent – Giocondo Martorelli – has stated that he thinks the AC Milan midfielder is a perfect player for the Rossoneri’s system under current coach Filippo Inzaghi.
Bonaventura joined the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza side in the summer transfer window after a run of impressive seasons in Serie A at Atalanta.
Speaking to Milan Channel, Martorelli said: “Giacomo has always done well in the playmaker role, from the beginning of his career.
“He grew a lot, both technically and tactically in recent years which has improved him in that role.”
The player’s agent continued to heap praise upon his client, perhaps with a rather unconventional choice of words.
“Bonaventura is an unusual type of playmaker,” he stated.
“He is different because not only does he offer a lot in attack, but he works hard defensively too, he adds balance when playing with [Nigel] De Jong, [Riccardo] Montolivo and/or [Andrea] Poli.”
The 25-year-old has played 21 times in Serie A this season, scoring on four occasions and assisting a further three.
