Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is unlikely to be leaving the Bundesliga outfit any time soon with Inter said to be circling.

Aubameyang is said to be the subject of interest from Serie A side Inter, who reportedly watched the Gabon star in action during Tuesday evening’s Champions League tie between his current club and Juventus in Turin.

“I am convinced that [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang likes Inter, because in the past we have had the opportunity to discuss it,” said the player’s agent Oscar Damiani Jr. in an interview with FC Inter News.

“Once he joined Borussia Dortmund – where he is contracted until 2018 – it became almost impossible for him to leave, especially in light of the statements made by the German club’s managing director [Hans-Joachim Watzke], who will only listen to offers of €40 million.”

Damiani further expressed his doubts about Inter’s chances of signing the 25-year-old in the near future, despite their long-time liking for the player.

“[Inter] have always expressed a positive opinion of the guy [Aubameyang],” revealed Damiani.

“But once he went from Saint-Etienne to Borussia, there was nothing more we could do. He’s unlikely to go anywhere else right now.

“He is fine there [at Borussia Dortmund], although from a sporting perspective things are not going well and this has slightly affected his confidence.

“But otherwise he is fine and I think he is happy.”
