Borussia Dortmund had scouts observe Sampdoria star Roberto Soriano’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Sassuolo on the weekend.
The 24-year-old midfielder has impressed this season for the high-flying Blucerchiati, leading to interest from bigger clubs around Europe and his first Azzurri cap.
Il Secolo XI report that Dortmund sent scouts out to watch Soriano perform on the weekend, and left the stadium impressed with what they saw.
Inter and AC Milan have also linked with Soriano this season, but looks like they will have to face competition from the German giants for the highly-rated central midfielder.
Soriano has made 19 league appearances this season, scoring once.
