Chelsea forward Mohamed Salah is set to arrive in Florence on Monday to undergo a medical examination.
The Egypt international is expected to be unveiled as a Fiorentina loan signing on the last day of the transfer window, as part of the deal which is seeing the Viola’s Juan Cuadrado head to the English Premier League.
22-year-old Salah is due to land in Italy on Monday morning, and will head straight to Fiorentina’s training ground to partake in a medical, according to ESPN reports.
It is also reported that Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella will receive the option to extend Salah’s loan deal, should the player be a success in Serie A, with a 12-month extension believed to form part of the package.
Salah has not started a single league fixture for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, finding opportunities on the whole to be extremely limited after his move to England in January last year.
