The agent of injured Napoli ace Lorenzo Insigne has confirmed that the player is nearing full fitness and could feature as soon as next month.
His return would certainly come ahead of schedule with it originally estimated that the player would spend at least six months on the sidelines and miss the rest of the season after tearing knee ligaments during a 1-0 win against Fiorentina in November.
Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “Insigne will return in March, probably at the end of the month.
“His recovery and rehabilitation is now complete from the point of view of the clinic. He watched the Sassuolo game from the sidelines to feel closer to the team and feel more involved, an integral part of the group.
“Lorenzo is eager to get back on to the field and give his contribution to achieving the team’s objectives this season.”
