Cesena coach Domenico Di Carlo praised his players for keeping up their tempo during their surprise 2-1 victory over Lazio on Sunday.
The Cavallucci Marini were able to defend convincingly, while taking advantage of Lazio mistakes to secure an important three points as they look to stave off relegation.
“We played against a great team, we knew we had to play a high tempo against Lazio, otherwise we would have struggled to contain them,” Di Carlo told Radio Rai.
“We did everything in the best way and I am very happy, because we have continued from the victory over Parma and we were focused on victory for 90 minutes.
“I’m happy for everyone. For the atmosphere, for the players, who wanted to succeed badly. We are on the right track. By watching this game, we’re growing. Our physical condition is better. We have to continue to climb up the table.”
