Genoa president Enrico Preziozi has confirmed several transfer agreements affecting various Serie A clubs, including his own.

After much speculation, it appears reborn forward Alessandro Matri and wing-back Luca Antonelli are to leave the Grifone during this window.

Preziozi told Sky Italia that loanee Matri is on his way back to former club Juventus, where he will link up again with coach Massimiliano Allegri after having worked with him at Cagliari and AC Milan in the past.

Roma’s experienced striker Marco Borriello will join Genoa before the transfer deadline as Matri’s replacement, according to Preziozi.

Additionally, it appears left-back Luca Antonelli is also on his way out of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in order to make a return to boyhood club AC Milan.

Antonelli, 27, started out with the Rossoneri youth teams, but failed to establish himself at senior level prior to spells at Bari and Parma.

A medical is expected to take place shortly ahead of an initial loan, with a mandatory purchase fee of €4.5 million to be settled at the end of the season.
