Roma stalwart Daniele De Rossi is being tracked by two Major League Soccer teams who could offer the veteran midfielder the opportunity to finish his career away from Rome.
The Italian international has spent over 20 years at his boyhood club having joined the club’s youth team as a 17-year-old in 2000. He has since gone on to make over 350 league appearances for the Giallorossi and is currently the team’s vice-captain.
However, De Rossi’s love affair could be nearing its end with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that the New York Red Bulls and the New York Cosmos are ready to offer him the opportunity to play abroad before he retires.
De Rossi is currently the highest paid footballer in Serie A and has a contract that currently runs until 2017.
