Inter head coach Roberto Mancini believes that his side face a tricky trip to play Cagliari on Monday evening as he considers that the Isolani are very strong at home.

The Nerazzurri travel to Sardinia to play on Monday having won their previous two Serie A games against Palermo and Atalanta and are looking to win their third game in a row but Mancini is aware of how difficult the game will be.

“Tomorrow will be difficult as it always is, Cagliari at their stadium are very solid,” Mancini told reporters at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.

“Our hope is to get the third win in a row, maybe doing slightly better defensively but against [Gianfranco] Zola teams it is never easy, they are always complicated games.”

Mancini then responded to questions about his starting XI and who could feature.

“[Mateo Kovacic?] We are evaluating his condition, we will decide tomorrow morning. He is a starter like everyone else, the hope is that we have the chance to play him.

“[Hernanes?] He is in the same situation as Kovacic, he is not happy but he is working very hard.

“I am sorry to him for leaving him out but he will be back at the right opportunity.

“[Lukas Podolski] He’s getting better and I hope that the goals start coming as soon as possible.

“[Xherdan Shaqiri?] He is in a better physical shape and he has great qualities coming from Bayern Munich and has great experience.”
