Following Hellas Verona’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Palermo, head coach of the Gialloblu Andrea Mandorlini has stated that his side did not deserve to lose the match and that a draw would have been a fair result.

Mandorlini’s side were drawing the match up until the 79th minute, however they then conceded off a deflected header from Palermo substitute Andrea Belotti.

“We could have came out of this match with a very a different result,” said the Verona tactician to Rai Sport.

“We made a few errors and allowed them too have too many shots but it must be said that we played on a difficult pitch.

“We made too many errors on the counter-attack,” the 54-year-old then continued.

“They equalised from a dead ball and then up until their winner, the game was very evenly matched.

“I think that a draw would have been a fair result.”
