Chievo coach Rolando Maran felt his side deserved something more after their narrow 2-1 home defeat to Napoli.
Maran also explained why he was sent off from the bench and apologised for his actions.
“The performance was positive, it’s a shame about the result,” said Maran to Rai Sport after the game.
“We always deserve to get something more than what we actually do.”
“It’s something that happens, we put in a great performance but ultimately lost to one of the best teams in Serie A.”
Maran also revealed that he was sent off for kicking a water bottle on the touchline out of frustration.
“I kicked out at a water bottle, it was a gesture that I shouldn’t have made.”
