Marek Hamsik NapoliNapoli captain Marek Hamsik has outlined his ambition to retain the Coppa Italia, but believes Inter will provide a tough test.

The Partenopei host the Nerazzurri at the Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday evening and are looking to set up a semi-final meeting with Lazio.

“It would be nice to win the Coppa again,” the 27-year-old told Rai.

“We want to go through. I’m expecting a tough match, Inter are a great team and will want to bounce back after their struggles.”

Hamsik also insisted that nothing has changed at the Vesuviani in spite of winning five of their last six Serie A matches after an inconsistent start to the season.

“We’re doing the same things in training, we go forward, hoping to continue to get positive results,” he concluded.

Hamsik is expected to return to the Napoli starting line-up after appearing for 12 minutes as a replacement for Dries Mertens in the 2-1 win at Chievo on Sunday.
