Lucas Ocampos will only transfer to Fiorentina in the event that Mohamed Salah’s proposed loan move from Chelsea falls through.
The Viola are currently in the market for a new wide man after the club’s Colombian star Juan Cuadrado completed his €33 million move to English giants Chelsea on Sunday.
Tuttomercatoweb.com understands that the AS Monaco winger’s agent is currently in Florence, but it seems unlikely that he will be able to close a deal for his client.
It looks likely that Salah will complete his loan before Monday’s transfer deadline and thus take the only remaining non-EU place in the Viola’s squad.
However, the Italian website has not ruled out the possibility that Fiorentina could return to try and sign the Argentine during the summer transfer window, when they would presumably have made room in their squad for another non-EU arrival.
