Parma’s future has been plunged into further uncertainty after city bailiffs moved in to seize vans belonging to the club.

This came on Tuesday morning, after they had missed the deadline on Monday for paying overdue payments to their players despite the club’s claims that it would be finalised on time.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Equitalia moved into the club’s headquarters in Collecchio to use tow trucks to take away three club vans and a car.

Equitalia seized the vehicles as a result of process initiated months ago to recoup money owed to them, believed to be in the region of €100,000.

Players are also thought to be growing frustrated with the situation with defender Fabiano Santacroce commenting on the continued non-payment of he and his teammate’s wages.

“We do not know anything. We want to be aware of the situation before training in the afternoon and can only hope for good news. We will go down to the pitch anyway,” he said.

It now seems certain that the club will be deducted another three points for failure to meet their Monday deadline for payment despite Giampietro Manenti’s claims to the contrary.
