Sampdoria are keen to appoint Eusebio Di Francesco as coach, should Sinisa Mihajlovic leave at the end of the season.
Mihajlovic has been heavily linked with a move to a higher profile club, and Samp see the current Sassuolo tactician as being the perfect man to take the reigns after the Serbian.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Blucerchiati are currently considering replacements for the 46-year-old, should he decide to move on when the season draws to a close.
Another name being linked with the position is current Palermo coach Giusepe Iachini, although a move to Fiorentina would be seen as more probable should Vincenzo Montella leave his post at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Di Francesco has been receiving widespread praise for his work at the Neroverdi, who currently sit in 12th place in Serie A.
