Parma’s primavera squad will be able to play against Sampdoria on February 28 after the Doriani stated that they will pay for the Ducali’s travel expenses.

Hernan Crespo, the coach of the Parma primavera, had said that the staff were going to bring the players by car to Sestri Levante but then Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero said that the costs to travel will be paid for.

“At the moment we still don’t know if we will have the money to go to play with Sampdoria but if we should get our cars and take the boys away with our money, we will do it. Indeed, we are doing it already,” Crespo told La Gazzetta dello Sport on Sunday.

Then came this statement on the Sampdoria website. It says, “Having read the statements of Hernán Crespo, coach of the Parma primavera, president Massimo Ferrero and UC Sampdoria make themselves available so that the second team of the Emilian club can reach Liguria to play their regular league game against Sampdoria on Saturday February 28 in Sestri Levante.

“The value of the education and training of the youth sector is always protected and respected in the name of fair play. That is why president Ferrero and Sampdoria are available to Crespo and his boys for the organization of travelling logistics for the next game.”
