Inter president Erik Thohir has celebrated the increase in Nerazzurri fans around the world under his stewardship.
Marketing is a crucial part of Thohir’s strategy at the club and the Indonesian is pleased with the gains made in Asia.
“The sales of Inter products has increased by 15 per cent,” said Thohir as reported by Fcinternews.it.
“The increase in sales has reached 19 per cent in Asia and eight per cent in Europe.”
“The are 263 million Inter fans around the world, Indonesia is in third place in Asia behind China and Japan with eight million Indonesian supporters.”
Thohir was also asked if he wants to see more Inter products being produced in Indonesia as part of his marketing exercise.
“This isn’t a problem because our agreement with Nike is a global one and Indonesia is just a small part of this.”
“What is important is understanding whether or not Nike could focus more on producing in Indonesia rather than in China or Vietnam.”
