The Mastini would equalize after 60 minutes when Cappelluzzo was first to latch on to a free kick into the area. The striker beat the Nerazzurri defenders to the ball and headed home to level things at 1-1.

When it appeared at though the match was headed to extra time, the Nerazzurri would snatch victory from the first time finalists.

Michele Rocca’s shot was pushed into the path of Gyamfi who sent his right footed volley past Pierluigi Gollini, named top goalkeeper of the tournament, to give Inter the 2-1 lead in the 88th minute.

The scoreline would hold up, allowing Inter to secure their seventh triumph in the tournament after victories in 1962, 1971, 1986, 2002, 2008 and 2011.
